S2203: An act relative to sexual violence on higher education campuses

This bill requires all public or private higher education institutions to include information on dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in their campus security policies in coordination with the institution's Title IX coordinator. The Dept. of Higher Education shall appoint a campus safety advisor to work with the institutions. all institutions shall enter into a memorandum of understanding with a sexual assault crisis service center and domestic violence agency and schools shall have a confidential resource advisor for students. Upon receiving a report of sexual violence, schools shall provide concise notification of the alleged victim's rights and options and shall also provide a method for reporting anonymously. This will would also require students to participate in mandatory annual dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking primary prevention and awareness programming.
