S.2112: AN ACT relative to the promotion of mental health education in massachusetts high schools

This bill would give the state's public schools the option of incorporating a mental health curriculum into a comprehensive health education curriculum. It may provide instruction in areas such as mental health, mental illness, teenage brain development, stress management, physical health, violence prevention and mental illness stigma. Mental health education has been proven to reduce mental illness, stress, anxiety and self-harm in adolescents.
