H.1110 AN ACT ESTABLISHING regional commissions on the status of women and girls
The bill is on the move! It passed the House unanimously on October 25th and was referred to the Senate Committee on Ways and Means.
This bill would establish three new regional commissions on the status of women and girls: an Eastern Regional Commission, an Upper Middlesex Commission and a Plymouth County Commission. Each new regional commission will be comprised of nine commissioners and will represent the variety of municipalities in their respective territories. The commissions will advocate for women and girls and will report to the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. The passage of this bill would ensure every municipality in the Commonwealth is included in a regional commission on the status of women and girls.
