H.1110/S.1119: AN ACT ESTABLISHING THREE NEW COMMISSIONS ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN AND GIRLS
The bill is on the move! It was reported out favorably by the Joint Committee on Municipalities and Regional Government and now sits in House Ways and Means.
This bill would establish three new regional commissions on the status of women and girls: an Eastern Regional Commission, an Upper Middlesex Commission and a Plymouth County Commission. Each new regional commission will be comprised of nine commissioners and will represent the variety of municipalities in their respective territories. The commissions will advocate for women and girls and will report to the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. The passage of this bill would ensure every municipality in the Commonwealth is included in a regional commission on the status of women and girls.
